This is very cool!  I'm originally from McClure and stumbled on the site while lurking through links of friends of a friend.  LOL  Anyway, it is really cool that you have this news site and I plan to spend some time going through it and the Beavertown site.  Thanks for keeping us up on news, history, etc.

Thank you so much for putting this website together.  I grew up in Beavertown but now live in Oakland, CA.  Although I visit 2-3 times a year I cannot make it for all of the events that do take place there.  This is a way for me to be a part of it.

FYI....Moses Specht is a distant relative of mine and I have been putting my family history together and this has helped me a great deal.

This morning I woke up to see a foot of snow here in State College, PA.  I decided to check the web and see how my hometown of Beavertown had fared this snowstorm.  Lo, and behold, I found a hotlink to this website (Beavertown News) and what a pleasant find! 

I spent a good bit of time looking at the history.  I was thrilled to find a photo of my dad, John "Jack" Kaufman entitled 'Four Boys' and another of my mom, Nancy Bailey Kaufman Scholl, in front of my grandparent's business, Bailey's Restaurant.  Wow!  Great memories!  Thanks for taking the time to post of all of this historical information.
