Shown is a postcard sent in 1888. Moses Specht owned this business, and many others. This was the brick structure on the corner of East Market and South Center Street. It was built in 1845 by one of Beavertown’s icons. It is now Harbst Distributing, and has since had the brick covered over with siding.

(What were some of Moses Specht’s other business interests? Answer next month.)
