Shown above is a post card photo a friend of the BN sent via email. It apparently is the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ taken very early on. While you cannot see it here, on the complete photo some of the graveyard appears on the right side of the church. This then can only be the UCC.

Answer to Last Month
Back in 1948, the War Memorial Association took out a 99 year lease from the Lutheran Church on the site of the Rose Garden. Payment was to be one red rose each year.
On the Sunday following Father’s Day, 2002, the last red rose payment was made.
The church has since sold the land to the Association, who now own it free and clear.
