Shown above is a photo of James “Daddy” Kline from an advertising poster for Kline Rams. Shown also is supposedly the world’s largest and most powerful ram ever built and it was done by his company which was located right here in Beavertown.

Answer to Last Month

Dr. J. T. Strohecker also had on the second floor of his pharmacy and doctor’s office The Pennsylvania College of Telegraphy & Railroad Business!

This fine school was started in April, 1877 and was going strong into the early 1890s. We do not know when it ceased operation.

Many telegraphers for the PRR were trained in Beavertown at this school, which also had night classes for working people.
