Cara Farms Cap

This object in full color was recently auctioned off on eBay for big bucks. As you can see, it is the later type that overlapped the rim as opposed to the earlier types that inserted inside the bottle rims. Based on what these items sell for these days, don’t you wish you had kept some bottles and paper caps? I know I do!

(When did the Cara Farms dairy operate in Beavertown? Answer next month.)

Answer to Last Month

After graduating from Beavertown High School, Max Bingaman served in the U. S. Army during WWI. After the war he was a teacher and a master carpenter in Beavertown. He started the Boy Scout Troop in Beavertown only a couple of years after that organization was founded.

He served as the Borough Secretary for a long period of time, and his service was of the very highest quality.
