Since the athletic field was not all it should have been, Coach Marlan Shearer had the freshmen and sophomore boys phys ed classes get exercise by working to improve the field with picks, shovels, and rakes. Answer to Last Month

Several other persons have seen a bear recently. Besides Ted Hetrick’s, Steve Aumiller and Council President, David Hassinger saw a bear even more recently at his barn. These are likely sightings of the same bear.

However, what I had in mind was the sighting on July 11, 2004, before these recent ones. Then a bear walked by a man who noticed it only feet away after it passed and exited town via Jim Etzler’s field near Ivan Middleswarth’s.
