Shown here (but hard to see) are the owner, Guy Narehood (C), his son Kenneth (R) and Harold Wagner (L), loafing in front of the station under the then existing roof.
During the Snyder County League and West Branch League days, the best drink of cold water and the best variety of cold soda pop could be obtained at the Super Service Garage!
(Where in Beavertown were there other loafing benches out front of business places during the 1940s? Answer next month.)

If you stand on the north side of Market Street in front of Vesta Coleman’s house, the photograph was taken from about this location, a few feet east or west.
The house shown in the photo was once the home of Clarence and Helen Middleswarth. Just to the right you can just barely see another doorway, but in here Helen had a beauty shop.
