Yetter Chevrolet

Yetter’s Chevrolet began as an International Harvester and McCormick Deering dealer in 1947. In the fall of 1949, they became a Chevrolet dealer and added a used car lot. A body shop was added in 1951, and the east end addition repair shop in 1959. In 1971, they added a new car lot. This was all sold and became Robert’s Chevrolet.

On Tuesday, March 18, 1997, Robert’s Chevrolet closed shop, and all the assets and inventory were moved to Mifflinburg and Lewisburg. As best we can determine, Rich Diehl, who was a partner, bought out the partnership and decided to concentrate on his other two dealerships, leaving Beavertown without a new car dealer.

(How many other new car dealers were there ever in Beavertown? Answer next month.)
