The Brick Plant began in 1926 as the Beavertown Brick Company, Inc. It had six bee hive kilns with a capacity of from 72,000 to 78,000 bricks in each kiln.

During the depression, in 1935, it became the Hill Brick Company.

Finally, it was bought for $42, 000 and owned by the Glen-Gery Corporation, but when better shale was found elsewhere, it was closed in 1961.

In 1973 the Garrisons bought the land where the plant was located and built it into a truck terminal.
