St. Pauls Altar

For very many years prior to the complete remodeling of the church in 1980, by then the United Church of Christ, the above photo shows the Altar and the painting just behind it that graced the interior of the sanctuary. At the present time, the church is having central air conditioning installed. That should be welcome this hot summer.

Answer to Last Month

Harold Hassinger required his cherry pickers to harvest the cherries with THEIR STEMS ON. This was because he had a stand in the Williamsport Market House, and elsewhere, and the fruit would keep longer with the stems on. Also, it would look fresher, more colorful, and more appealing while being displayed for sale.

Your editor picked many quarts at two cents each over 7 or 8 seasons.
