Shown here are nine members of the Shirk School of Music, and the teacher (man at right) in c. 1919-22. As you can see, this was mainly a string music school. You can see guitars, mandolins and a violin in the students’ hands. This was a private school and it was open to both sexes. As best we can determine, this school was held in the building that now houses Albert’s Barber Shop, and the apartment on the west side of the building.
