Shown above with daughter Shirley, we recognize Mr. Rudolph “Rudy” Coleman for his 4 years of public service as Mayor to our borough. He also served several terms as a Justice of the Peace. He also hosted the community sing on the square at Christmas as well as entertaining the town’s children with movies and fun each Yuletide. As Mayor, Rudy served from January 1974 to December 1977, serving his term with great distinction! He was the Mayor during our Nation’s Bicentennial. In fact, all of his service to Beavertown was very outstanding. For example, he donated the land to the fire company where the carnival is held annually.
